The District covers the city of Launceston
and the municipalities of West Tamar
and Georgetown.

The LAUNCESTON & TAMAR District was formed on the 1st of January 2007 as an amalgamation of the Launceston North District and the Launceston West Tamar District.
The new District badge is a combination of the two badges from the former districts.
